Most people think of CCTV as a security device, and indeed local company ConsultNet Ltd have installed many surveillance systems at a variety of locations. But the company’s latest installation puts a totally new slant on surveillance and allow members of the public to view rare bird species at close quarters.

ConsultNet has recently teamed up with Halton Borough Council and provided an innovative CCTV surveillance system at key locations at the Halton Oxmore nature reserve.

bird lovers to view Kestrels, Kingfishers and Grey Herons from the comfort of their home or office. Footage of the elusive Barn Owl will also soon be available.

“We have several clients who view their CCTV footage over the internet”, says managing director Simon Buckley, “but this is the first time we have designed an installation for wildlife lovers”.
